A soul and R&B artist, Nuwamba is an adventurous artist in more ways than one. First off, Nuwamba always demands originality from himself. Music that is patterned after the template laid by another is not speaking from the soul, the source of all great music. Nuwamba is unafraid to try new things while still capturing soulful sounds that make listeners come forth and stick around. He is also adventurous in the realm of the mind. While Nuwamba writes in the soul/R&B realm of musical stylings, he finds that inspiration comes from all over. "All music really inspires me," Nuwamba says. "I love house music, jazz, hip-hop and all of the old greats." His wide aural scope helps him to find ideas to bounce off of and make his own so that he can deliver the consistently strong songwriting for which he is quickly becoming known.

Nuwamba's hard and talent-filled work has earned him awards and acclaim. He was honored as R&B artist of the year in 2003 by the Fort Worth Music Awards and has been featured in a number of publications, including Vibe, Upscale, The Dallas Observer, The Urban Network, The Fort Worth Weekly (front page!), Billboard, Rolling Out Newspaper and more.
